Did you know that the White Porch Inn Art Hotel—formerly known as the Coat of Arms Guest House—is deeply rooted in Provincetown's LGBTQ+ history? In 1978, this very house was one of the original three that helped found the Provincetown Business Guild (PBG), a groundbreaking initiative created by eight visionary LGBTQ business owners determined to make Provincetown a leading gay travel destination. With less than $1,000 and a few magazine ads, they sparked a movement—and our inn proudly stood at the center of it. We were even part of the very first Carnival Parade, now one of P'town's most iconic events and a vibrant celebration of community, color, and creativity.
