While the wintertime is technically Cape Cod's "off season", that doesn't mean you can't have a fulfilling vacation if you drop by. There are a ton of things to do in Provincetown and throughout Cape Cod as the snow falls--some activities might be preferable in the winter and impossible in the summer.

In this article, we will review some of the favorite stops that our guests might be interested in. Don't write off a winter in Provincetown this year.

Falmouth Ice Arena

If there is one winter activity that sparks romance and a love for art, it's figure skating. It's depicted in hundreds of rom-coms, and many people want to try it as a result. At the Falmouth Ice Arena, you can live this magical movie experience.

If you're an ice rookie, you may want someone to guide you through the process. However, if you are an independent learner or a seasoned veteran, you can shape your path as you carve through the ice.

The cost of your trip to Falmouth Ice Arena will depend on how long you are willing to stay at the rinks. Here are some general ticket prices:

You can and should register online, as reservations tend to fill up fast through the winter.

Ice Fishing

You've likely had opportunities to go fishing in your life, or at the very least have seen somebody fishing in the summer. However, ice fishing is a far more unique experience you can only find when the snow has come down heavy and the ice is thickest. Avoid fishing when the ice is less than 4 feet thick.

Provincetown Theater

The last two activities would take you pretty far out of Provincetown, so now we will return somewhere much closer to the White Porch Inn.

Provincetown is a center for artistic expression. This is shown through the myriad of art galleries you'll see throughout town. However, the local theater can be a great place to catch a play--and it's open throughout the year!

While future broadcasts remain uncertain, in the past the actors have performed It's a Wonderful Life, Neptune, The Cake, and other small plays.
